Responsibilities
- Assist in food preparation and cooking to ensure dishes are served promptly and to high standards
- Support kitchen operations by organising ingredients, utensils, and supplies efficiently
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen area, adhering to food safety regulations
- Serve guests with warmth and professionalism, taking orders and delivering meals with a friendly attitude
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth service during busy periods
- Follow all health and safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment for everyone
- Contribute to the overall positive atmosphere of the restaurant by providing excellent customer service
Experience
- Previous experience in food preparation or cooking within a restaurant or hospitality setting is preferred
- Knowledge of food safety practices and hygiene standards is essential
- Experience in meal preparation, kitchen operations, or culinary roles is highly desirable
- Strong communication skills and the ability to serve guests confidently
- Familiarity with restaurant procedures, including order taking and serving food efficiently
- Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
You'll be working in one of the most picturesque locations on Exmoor, serving walkers, cyclists, locals and visitors from all over the world.
Pay: £12.71-£12.75 per hour
