Overview
We are a local shop and forecourt with onsite bakery. We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic General Kitchen Cook to join our team 5 days a week including a saturday, with the ability to cover holiday,. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing excellent homemade baked goods for our bakery, and maintaining the kitchen's organisation. This position is perfect for individuals who enjoy working in a dynamic environment and have a passion for helping customers and cooking.
Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with their inquiries.
- Maintain an organised and tidy kitchen environment.
- baking pies, cakes, bread, and other goods to sell in our instore bakery.
- Handle phone calls with professionalism, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette.
- Assist in inventory management, including managing stock levels.
- Communicate effectively with customers, ensuring their needs are met.
- Support team members in daily operations to ensure smooth shop and kitchen functionality.
- Perform opening and closing checks in the kitchen
Qualifications
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with customers and colleagues.
- Proven time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
- Organisational skills to maintain an orderly kitchen environment.
- Experience in the kitchen environment or customer service is an advantage but not essential, as training is available.
- A willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges within the kitchen.
