Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and professional Pharmacist to join our healthcare team on weekends. The successful candidate will be responsible for dispensing Private medications, providing expert advice on drug therapies, and ensuring the safe and effective use of pharmaceuticals. Responsibilities
- Dispense prescribed medications accurately in accordance with medical orders and legal requirements
- Provide comprehensive patient care, including medication counselling and education on proper usage and potential side effects
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimise medication therapies for individual patients
- Maintain meticulous records of prescriptions, patient interactions, and inventory management
- Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations, including proper storage of pharmaceuticals
- Monitor patient responses to medication and report adverse reactions promptly
- Stay updated with the latest developments in pharmacology, especially relating to ICU medication protocols and anatomy knowledge
Experience
- Proven experience working as a Pharmacist in private pharmacy.
- Strong background in patient care, demonstrating excellent communication skills and empathy towards patients
- In-depth knowledge of anatomy relevant to pharmacology and medication administration procedures
- Experience in managing medication inventories and understanding regulatory compliance standards
- Prior exposure to specialised medication management in critical care environments is highly desirable
