Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated bar and restaurant person to join our team at a busy tapas restaurant in the heart of Faversham. The ideal candidate should have a passion for delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring guests have a memorable dining experience.
Must be fully flexible and willing to work weekends and some evenings. Must be presentable and polite. Thorough clean down and stock replenishment on close down shifts. Full training given.
Duties
- Greet customers warmly and escort them to their tables
- Present menus and provide detailed information when requested
- Take food and drink orders accurately and promptly
- Serve food and beverages in a timely manner
- Upsell additional items to enhance the dining experience
- Ensure guest satisfaction by checking on them throughout their meal
- Handle guest queries and concerns with professionalism
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders
- Maintain cleanliness and tidiness in the dining area
Experience
The successful candidate should possess:
- Previous experience in a hospitality or restaurant environment
- Knowledge of food preparation and basic culinary skills
- Familiarity with kitchen operations and food safety standards
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently
- Excellent guest service skills with the ability to engage with customers
- Basic maths skills for processing orders accurately
Job Types: Part-time, Zero hours contract
