Service Engineer – Construction Plant

Up to £18.00 per hour | 40 Hours | Overtime at 1.5x | Company Van
An excellent opportunity has become available to join an established franchise of a globally recognised construction plant manufacturer, supporting customers across the South West.
We are looking for Service Engineers / Plant Mechanics based around the Bristol or Swindon area who want to develop their career with one of the leading names within the construction equipment industry.
This position offers a fantastic route for an engineer to initially focus on PDI, machine preparation, servicing and maintenance, while receiving manufacturer-specific training with the aim of progressing into a fully fledged Manufacturer Service Engineer.
The Role
- Carry out PDIs and machine preparation on new construction equipment
- Service, maintain and inspect a range of construction plant machinery
- Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic and basic electrical faults
- Attend customer sites across the South West when required
- Work closely with experienced manufacturer-trained engineers
- Complete ongoing technical and product training
- Progress into a fully trained field-based Manufacturer Service Engineer
What We're Looking For
- Minimum Level 2 qualification in Plant Maintenance, Plant Mechanics, Land-Based Engineering or similar
- Previous experience working with plant, agricultural, construction or heavy machinery
- Good mechanical and hydraulic knowledge
- Full UK driving licence
- Willingness to learn and develop with a major manufacturer
