We’re now looking for experienced and motivated Joiners to join our award-winning team.
The Role
As a Joiner with Link Contracting, you’ll be working on a mix of mainly planned works and some reactive maintenance, primarily across retail sites, pubs, and public buildings. You’ll play a key role in delivering high standards of workmanship while maintaining strong relationships with clients and site teams.
We’re ideally looking for someone who brings multi-trade skills, with basic knowledge in areas such as plumbing, plastering, and general building maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out a wide range of carpentry and joinery tasks to a high standard
- Complete planned works, installations, repairs, and maintenance
- Attend call-outs and reactive jobs as required
- Work across a variety of sites including retail, hospitality, and public sector buildings
- Liaise directly with clients and site contacts, providing excellent customer service
- Accurately complete all job documentation and reports
- Work safely and in line with Health & Safety regulations
- Support other trades when required and contribute to a team-first environment
- Deliver a “first-time fix” approach wherever possible
What We’re Looking For
Essential:
- NVQ Level 2 or City & Guilds in Carpentry & Joinery
- Proven experience as a Joiner working on similar type of work
- Full UK driving licence
- Ability to work independently and use initiative
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Basic IT literacy (for reporting and job updates)
- Experience working in occupied or live environments
Desirable (but not essential):
- Multi-trade experience (e.g. plumbing, tiling, plastering, painting)
- PASMA
- IPAF
- SSSTS
Working Requirements
- Willingness to travel as part of the role. Majority of the work is Northwest based
- Flexibility with working hours, including occasional early starts or night work
- Participation in an on-call rota
- Comfortable working at height when required

Salary: £30,513 to £33,000
