We pride ourselves on exceptional craftsmanship, attention to detail, and delivering products that meet the highest standards of quality.We are looking for a skilled and reliable Sewing Machinist to join our production team.The Role As a Sewing Machinist, you will be responsible for producing high-quality fabric and leather covers for a wide range of upholstered furniture. Working from cutting patterns and production specifications, you will ensure every item is manufactured accurately and to a consistently high standard.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate industrial sewing machines to produce upholstery covers.
- Sew fabric, vinyl, and leather components to specification.
- Read and interpret production drawings and sewing patterns.
- Carry out quality checks throughout the manufacturing process.
- Work closely with the upholstery and production teams to meet production schedules.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work area.
- Report any quality or equipment issues promptly.
About You
The ideal candidate will have:
- Previous experience as a sewing machinist, ideally within upholstery, furniture, or a similar manufacturing environment.
- Experience using industrial sewing machines.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good organisational and time management skills.
- A positive attitude and strong work ethic.
