About the Role:
As an Accounts Semi-Senior, you will support the accounts team in preparing financial statements, tax returns, and management accounts for a portfolio of clients.
You will be self-motivated, able to work to tight deadlines, have excellent interpersonal and communication skills together with an ability and interest in understanding your clients’ business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Represent Xeinadin to clients, ensuring day-to-day tasks are completed with a focus on excellence, innovation, and future-oriented solutions.
- Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with clients, providing them with professional advice and maintaining high standards of customer service.
- Ensure that all accounts work is completed to the highest standard, meeting deadlines and adhering to technical and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with senior team members to ensure client deliverables are met within agreed timelines and budgets.
- Contribute to team activities and improvements in workflows to enhance business and client service standards.
- Participate in continuous learning and professional development to maintain and update technical knowledge and comply with CPD requirements.
- Prepare accounts and VAT returns from client records.
- Prepare an accurate working paper file.
- Have knowledge of Income Tax and VAT.
- Undertake any work with a view to profitability and use the opportunity to review WIP and debtors.
- Assist Partners in client meetings, if requested to do so. Acting as a responsible member of the team, providing support, development and guidance to more junior members.
- Producing work for manager and partner review which requires little further input, clearly highlight issues and provide potential solutions to issues identified.
Key Requirements:
- Exam qualified ACCA or equivalent.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in accounts and VAT return preparation assignments.
- Working knowledge – Xero, VT, CCH Central.
- Good up-to-date technical knowledge including recent developments in accounting standards.
- Previous experience within an accountancy practice.
Additional Requirements:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and colleagues.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
- Good organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and a focus on quality and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to understand client needs and deliver professional, high-quality service.
- A dependable, self-motivated team player, able to manage tasks with minimal supervision.
- Demonstrates high levels of confidentiality and adheres to professional ethical standards.
