Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Assistant to support our culinary team in delivering high-quality food services. Duties
- Assist with food preparation and meal assembly in accordance with established recipes and standards
- Support catering events by preparing ingredients and setting up service areas
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, including washing dishes, utensils, and equipment
- Ensure adherence to food safety and hygiene regulations at all times
- Help with stock rotation, inventory checks, and restocking supplies as needed
- Serve food to guests or staff in a professional manner when required
- Support the team during busy service periods by performing various kitchen tasks as directed
Requirements
- Previous experience in catering, cooking, or restaurant environments is desirable but not essential; willingness to learn is important
- Basic knowledge of food preparation and safety standards
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
- Good communication skills and a positive attitude
- Flexibility to work shifts as required, including weekends or evenings if necessary
- Food safety certification or willingness to undertake relevant training is advantageous
