Strong Group is recruiting for an Electrical Design Engineer to join a contractor-side design team in Ashton-under-Lyne.
This permanent, office-based role supports a varied pipeline of residential, commercial and industrial construction projects, with full-time and part-time options available.
AutoCAD, Amtech and Relux/DIALux experience are essential.

Design LV power distribution, lighting and associated electrical safety systems.

Produce accurate electrical layout drawings, schematics and technical details using AutoCAD.

Complete electrical network calculations, cable sizing and technical assessments using Amtech.

Develop internal and external lighting designs and simulations using Relux or DIALux.

Ensure all designs comply with BS 7671 and relevant UK Building Regulations.

Collaborate face-to-face with local engineering, drafting and project management teams.

Proven electrical design experience across residential, commercial and industrial building projects.

Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD, Amtech and Relux/DIALux.

Detailed, up-to-date knowledge of BS 7671 wiring regulations.

Ability to produce clear and accurate drawings, calculations and technical design information.

Able to commute to the Ashton-under-Lyne office for the agreed working hours.

Salary of up to £65,000 per annum, dependent on experience.
