GS Foam Concrete Ltd has been in operation for over 40 years and is the UK’s leading supplier of foam concrete. The business is growing due to our reputation and the introduction this year of new, innovative technology. We are therefore looking to recruit further site operatives to work within our small teams.
Job Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Site Operative to join our team, working on sites across the UK. The role involves travel and staying away from home, which is an essential part of the position.
This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with site experience who are looking for stable, long-term employment within a specialist sector of the construction industry. Full training will be provided to develop the skills required for foam concrete operations, with opportunities for increased responsibility and a pathway to a Supervisor role as experience grows.
Key Responsibilities
- Mixing, preparing, and installing foam concrete on site.
- Operating and maintaining foam concrete machinery and equipment.
- Ensuring full compliance with Health & Safety regulations and procedures.
- Assisting with quality control and material handling.
- Working closely with site supervisors to support site coordination and logistics.
- Assisting concrete pump operators as required.
- Assisting with site inspections.
- Attending site inductions and company safety briefings.
- Adhering to Method Statements and Risk Assessments.
- Adhering to company policies and procedures.

The Ideal Candidate
- Holds a valid CSCS card (essential.)
- Full UK driving licence (essential); C1 entitlement preferred.
- SSSTS qualification beneficial but not essential.
- Willing and able to work across the UK, including regular stays away from home (essential.)
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience within the construction industry.
- Positive, reliable, and enthusiastic approach to work.
- Well organised, self-motivated, with good communication skills.
- A team player who works well within a small, close-knit team.
