Kooltech has grown through innovation from its origins as a manufacturer at its Hillington Road, Glasgow site to our new Head Office on Mossland Road, Glasgow. Kooltech has developed a range of bespoke products that provide consultants, contractors and end users with project-winning advantages across the Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration (HVAC&R) sectors.
Our products are manufactured and assembled at our own production facility on Hillington Park in Glasgow, where we pride ourselves on delivering high-quality products to our customers.
We are now looking for a Semi-Skilled Sheet Metal Worker to join our production team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with practical sheet metal fabrication experience who takes pride in producing high-quality work and is keen to develop their skills within an established manufacturing environment.
The Role
As a Semi-Skilled Sheet Metal Worker, you will contribute to the manufacture and assembly of Kooltech's product range, working to our specifications and high standards of quality.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Manufacturing products in accordance with works orders, bills of materials, engineering drawings and process specifications.
- Following instructions from the Works Supervisor and completing work within the required production timescales.
- Undertaking a range of sheet metal fabrication and assembly activities, including MIG welding.
- Operating sheet metal machinery and equipment safely and effectively.
- Completing works order documentation and quality inspection procedures to ensure all completed work is fully traceable.
- Maintaining the required skills and competencies in line with Kooltech's manufacturing induction and training programme.
- Working in accordance with company Health & Safety procedures and ensuring a safe working environment.
- Reporting any equipment, tooling or maintenance requirements to the Works Supervisor or Quality Controller.
- Maintaining a clean, tidy and organised working area.
- Taking pride in your work and helping to maintain and continually improve Kooltech's high standards of manufacturing.
About You:
We are looking for a practical and reliable individual who is keen to develop their skills and build a career within a manufacturing environment.
Experience in all of the following skills would be advantageous :
- Light sheet metal fabrication
- Box pan folder operation
- MIG welding
- Brake press operation
- Guillotine operation
You should be comfortable working from drawings, works orders and instructions, have good attention to detail and take pride in producing work to a high standard.
Previous experience within a sheet metal or manufacturing environment is required, and we are also interested in candidates who have the right attitude, practical ability and willingness to learn.
Working Hours
The role is 40 hours per week:
- Monday to Thursday: 8:00am–5:00pm
- Friday: 8:00am–2:00pm
