Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Female Night Support Staff to provide essential care and assistance during overnight hours. This role is vital in ensuring the safety, comfort, and well-being of residents within a home environment. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, basic IT knowledge, and the ability to work independently during night shifts. Previous experience in home care or familiarity with care plans is advantageous but not mandatory. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in people's lives while working in a supportive team environment.
Duties
- Provide personalised support to a resident during night hours, ensuring their safety and comfort at all times
- Assist with daily routines such as medication reminders, mobility support, and personal care tasks in accordance with individual care plans
- Monitor residents’ health and well-being throughout the night, reporting any concerns promptly to senior staff
- Maintain accurate documentation of care provided using IT systems and adhere to company protocols
- Respond effectively to emergencies or unexpected situations with calmness and professionalism
- Support residents’ emotional needs through empathetic communication and companionship
- Ensure the environment remains clean, safe, and welcoming for all residents during your shift
Qualifications
- Previous experience working within a care home or home care setting is essential. And local knowledge of the area.
- Ability to communicate fluently in English, both verbally and in writing
- Basic IT skills for recording notes and updating care plans digitally
- Valid driving licence
- Excellent communication skills with a caring and respectful attitude towards people
- Ability to work independently during night shifts while maintaining high standards of care
- Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to support vulnerable individuals during overnight hours
Pay: £16.25-£162.25 per hour
