This 12-month Business Intelligence Analyst role offers the chance to work closely with experienced professionals and contribute to insights that shape executive-level thinking. We are seeking an individual with proficiency in SQL and PowerBI, experience working across functions including Finance, Technology and the Front Office and the ability to transform data into clear, actionable management information.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards and reporting suites to support performance management, decision-making, and business insight.
- Leverage SQL and other data tools to extract, analyse, and interpret data from key business systems and sources (SAP & Snowflake).
- Support the design and enhancement of Management Information (MI) frameworks and reporting packs used by the Executive Committee.
- Partner with FP&A colleagues to identify key performance trends, risks, and opportunities, providing actionable insights to stakeholders.
- Promote data quality, governance standards, and best-practice data management across the function.
- Support the Finance function through the implementation of a new finance system, helping to develop robust reporting, analytics, and management information capabilities.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of data definitions, reporting methodologies, controls, and governance processes to ensure consistency and transparency.
Regulatory responsibilities | Compliance/T&C
- Ability to demonstrate an understanding of the regulatory framework relevant to the role, whilst practising effective risk management taking account of outcomes for clients.
- Understand, follow and demonstrate compliance with all relevant internal and external rules, regulations and procedures that apply to the conduct of the business. Follow principles and rules of the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) and the internal requirements set out in the Compliance Manual, local and Group Compliance and Risk policies.
About you | Qualifications, skills and strengths
- Strong proficiency in SQL, Power BI (including DAX and Power Query), Microsoft Excel, and the wider Microsoft Office suite.
- Analytical and curious mindset, with a structured approach to solving business problems and identifying trends, risks, and opportunities in data.
- Good understanding of financial and commercial concepts, including P&L performance and margin drivers.
- Effective communicator, able to build strong relationships and collaborate across Finance, Data, Technology, and Front Office teams.
- Experience designing data models, automating reporting processes, and improving reporting efficiency through data-led solutions.
- Proactive and independent problem-solver, able to challenge constructively, drive continuous improvement, and adapt positively to change.
- Experience within financial services or similar data-driven environments is desirable; prior exposure to Snowflake and/or SAP would be advantageous.
