Overview
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Baker to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and production, with a keen eye for detail and a love for creating delicious baked goods. This role is essential in ensuring that our bakery maintains high standards of quality, freshness, and presentation.
Duties
- Prepare and bake a variety of breads, pastries, cakes, and other baked goods according to established recipes.
- Ensure all food safety and hygiene standards are strictly adhered to in the kitchen.
- Assist in the development of new recipes and menu items that align with seasonal offerings.
- Monitor inventory levels of baking supplies and ingredients, placing orders as necessary to maintain stock.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, ensuring all equipment is properly cleaned and stored after use.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient workflow during busy periods.
- Conduct regular quality checks on baked products to ensure they meet our high standards.
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year previous experience
- Proven experience as a Baker or in a similar role within a restaurant or food production environment.
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in culinary arts.
- Proficient in various baking techniques and methods, with an understanding of ingredient properties.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- A creative mindset with a passion for baking and culinary innovation.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including early mornings or late evenings as required.
