Prepare management accounts for outsourcing clients.
- Oversee clients’ accounting activities and ensure accurate maintenance of accounting records and supporting working papers.
- Calculate and post month-end adjustments and ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial reporting.
- Prepare and submit VAT returns, applying relevant technical knowledge and ensuring compliance with regulations.
- Deliver ad hoc project work including cloud accounting software conversions, bespoke reporting setup, and accounting catch-up exercises.
- Preparation of statutory financial statements
- Review accounts preparation work completed by junior team members.
- Coach and support junior staff, ensuring they receive clear instructions, appropriate training, and feedback on completed work.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients, relationship managers, and partners.
- Stay up to date with technical developments and make effective use of cloud accounting tools such as Xero, QuickBooks, Caseware and Dext to deliver efficient, high-quality service.

Working towards or qualified in a relevant qualification – AAT,ACA,ACCA, CIMA and with previous bookkeeping experience
- Ability to apply technical accounting knowledge to real life client situations
- Previous experience using accounting software packages, namely Caseware, Xero and QuickBooks
- Strong Excel skills are essential
- Excellent attention to detail
- Takes ownership of tasks, where applicable
- Demonstrates effective communication skills with client, as will often be main point of day-to-day contact
- Understands and takes an interest in their client’s business goals and sector
- Supports and develops junior staff by sharing technical and practical experience
