This is a diverse position that combines driving, yard management, stock control, plant administration and on-site support. You'll be responsible for transporting materials and equipment to and from sites, assisting with muck away activities, maintaining a safe and organised yard environment, monitoring stock levels, managing plant and equipment, and supporting operational teams when required. Working closely with site teams, you'll help ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest standards. The role also includes participation in a one-in-four call-out rota to support emergency and out-of-hours operational requirements.

We focus on keeping sewer networks operating efficiently through planned maintenance, emergency response and rehabilitation works. What We're Looking For
We're keen to hear from candidates who can demonstrate:

Experience in a driver, yard operative, general operative or similar construction-related role

Experience as a 7.5t driver general operative, or similar construction-based role

Familiarity with construction site operations and material handling

Good knowledge of civils, construction site activities and material handling
-
A strong understanding of health and safety regulations and safe working practices

The ability to safely load, secure and transport materials and equipment
-
Good communication, organisational and time management skills

A positive, proactive attitude with the ability to work effectively as part of a team

Basic IT skills and the ability to maintain accurate records

A full UK driving licence

Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC)
