Job Code: UK001- Microbiologist
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Microbiologist to join our laboratory team, specialising in Food and Water Testing. The laboratory is based in Dudley, UK.
Key Responsibilities
Perform microbiological analysis of food, water, and related samples in accordance with approved laboratory procedures.
Conduct testing, interpretation, and reporting of microbiological results.
Ensure compliance with laboratory quality systems and relevant testing standards.
Maintain accurate laboratory records, worksheets, and test documentation.
Support the implementation and maintenance of quality and microbiological testing procedures.
Participate in internal and external ISO/IEC 17025 audits and assist with audit preparation and corrective actions.
Ensure laboratory activities comply with applicable quality, safety, and regulatory requirements.
Maintain good laboratory practices, including equipment, media, reagents, and environmental monitoring where applicable.
Requirements
Minimum 2 years of relevant experience as a Microbiologist.
Experience in Food and Water Microbiology Testing.
Practical experience working in a laboratory environment.
Experience with ISO/IEC 17025 audits, including audit preparation, participation, and follow-up on corrective actions.
Good knowledge of microbiological testing techniques and laboratory quality systems.
Strong attention to detail and accurate documentation skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a laboratory team.
Location & Right to Work
Location: Dudley, UK.
Candidates must be able to commute to the laboratory or relocate to the Dudley area.
Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
