Part-Time Dental Receptionist

We are looking for an enthusiastic, organised and personable Dental Receptionist to join our busy, dynamic and forward-thinking dental practice.
We pride ourselves on providing our patients with a very high standard of care, professionalism and service, and we are looking for someone who shares these values. You will be an important part of the patient journey, creating a warm and welcoming experience from the moment patients contact or enter the practice.
The Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for a varied range of front-of-house and administrative duties, including:
- Managing and coordinating the appointment books efficiently
- Welcoming and assisting patients in a friendly and professional manner
- Answering telephone calls and responding to patient emails promptly
- Taking payments and handling associated administrative tasks
- Preparing and arranging consent forms and other patient paperwork
- Maintaining accurate patient records and carrying out filing
- Managing and monitoring practice stock levels
- Carrying out general administrative and reception duties
- Supporting the wider dental team with day-to-day practice requirements
- Maintaining a clean, organised and professional reception environment
- Carrying out other duties as required to ensure the smooth running of the practice
About You
We are looking for someone who is:
- Highly professional, with a consistently high standard of professionalism in their appearance, communication and conduct
- Friendly, approachable and confident when dealing with patients
- Professional, reliable and exceptionally well organised
- Able to work efficiently and calmly in a busy practice environment
- An excellent communicator, both verbally and in writing
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word and Outlook
- Comfortable learning and using a dedicated dental practice management system
- Computer literate and able to learn new systems quickly
- Detail-oriented, with excellent administrative and organisational skills
- Able to prioritise and multitask effectively
- A team player who is willing to help wherever needed
- Committed to providing an excellent standard of patient care and service
- Positive, adaptable and keen to contribute to a dynamic, forward-thinking practice
- Discreet and respectful when handling confidential patient information

Part-time hours: 2-3 days per week
Salary: £13 per hour - depending on experience
