Step Into Teaching is recruiting Graduate Teaching Assistants for a welcoming secondary school in Peterborough. This full-time, term-time opportunity is perfect for graduates considering teacher training, educational psychology or a career in education.
Salary: £500-£520 per week Term Time Only
Start: September 2026
Contract: Full-time | Monday-Friday |
The Role
You'll work alongside experienced teachers, supporting students in lessons, delivering small group interventions and helping pupils build confidence and achieve their potential.
You'll:
- Support students 1:1 and in small groups.
- Deliver interventions in your specialist subject.
- Help prepare students for GCSE success.
- Encourage engagement, confidence and academic progress.
- Gain invaluable classroom experience in a supportive secondary school.
We're Looking For
- A 2:2 degree or above (English, Maths, Science or another core subject preferred).
- GCSE Grade 4 (C) or above in English and Maths.
- Strong communication skills and a passion for working with young people.
