Field Service Engineer (Electrical Bias)

A market-leading engineering organisation operating within industrial automation and critical infrastructure is seeking a Field Service Engineer to join its UK service team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an electrically biased engineer who enjoys variety, autonomy, and customer-facing work. The successful candidate will support customers across a range of sectors including utilities, energy, and industrial manufacturing, working on a wide variety of installation, commissioning, maintenance, and retrofit projects throughout the UK.
Full product training will be provided, offering the opportunity to develop specialist expertise within a globally recognised engineering business.
The Role
- Planned and reactive maintenance across customer sites
- Installation, commissioning and servicing of electromechanical equipment
- Electrical and mechanical fault finding
- Retrofit and upgrade projects
- Site surveys and inspections
- Producing service reports and technical documentation
- Supporting customers with technical queries when required
What We're Looking For
- NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation (or equivalent)
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
- Inspection & Testing qualification (2391 or equivalent)
- Electrical fault-finding experience
- Good mechanical aptitude
- Strong communication and customer-facing skills
- Full UK Driving Licence
Experience within utilities, power generation, automation, control systems, valves, actuators, or industrial environments would be advantageous but is not essential.
