What We’re Looking For
We are looking for a qualified Dental Nurse who is organised, professional and genuinely passionate about providing excellent patient care.
Essential requirements:
- Qualified Dental Nurse with a relevant qualification/certification.
- Excellent command of spoken and written English, with the ability to communicate clearly and confidently with patients and colleagues.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a busy dental practice.
- Professional, compassionate and reassuring manner with patients.
- Good IT skills, including confidence using patient records and dental practice software.
- A strong understanding of, and commitment to, infection control and clinical standards.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
Previous experience in a dental practice is advantageous but not essential. We are happy to consider a candidate who is newly qualified and demonstrates the right attitude, professionalism and willingness to learn.
About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dental Nurse to join our dynamic dental practice. You will play an important role in supporting the dentist and wider dental team while ensuring patients receive a comfortable, professional and high-quality experience at every visit.
The successful candidate will be confident working in a clinical environment, well organised and able to build positive relationships with both patients and colleagues.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist during examinations, treatments and other clinical procedures, ensuring all required instruments and materials are prepared and readily available.
- Provide exceptional patient care by welcoming and reassuring patients, explaining procedures clearly and responding sensitively to any concerns.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation in accordance with relevant regulations and practice procedures.
- Maintain a clean, organised and well-stocked dental surgery.
- Follow all infection control, decontamination and health and safety procedures to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
- Support the efficient management of appointments and patient flow throughout the practice.
- Work collaboratively with dentists and the wider dental team to deliver an excellent patient experience.
- Assist with the smooth day-to-day running of the practice and contribute to maintaining high clinical and professional standards.
- Keep knowledge and skills up to date through relevant training and continuing professional development.
