The Role
As a Support Worker, you will provide practical and emotional support to adults with learning disabilities and autism, helping them maintain their independence, achieve personal goals, and enjoy meaningful daily activities.
Every individual we support is unique, and you will play a vital role in promoting their choice, dignity, and wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting individuals in their own homes and within the community.
- Assisting with daily living tasks, including meal preparation, household duties, and budgeting.
- Encouraging independence and developing life skills.
- Supporting clients to attend appointments, social activities, education, and employment opportunities.
- Providing emotional support and building positive, trusting relationships.
- Maintaining accurate records and reporting any concerns in line with company policies.
- Promoting safeguarding, health and safety, and person-centred care at all times.
What We're Looking For
- A caring, compassionate, and patient nature.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A genuine passion for supporting people with learning disabilities and autism.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends.
- Previous experience in a support worker or care role is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided.
