Meet the client:
The client has a spinal cord injury (SCI), paraplegia, paranoia, OCD, and experiences anxiety. He is a Mathematics graduate who previously worked in the banking sector and is currently pursuing a PhD in Mathematics. He lives alone, with daily visits from his mother. As he can be cautious when building new relationships, he may take time to develop trust and confidence in new support workers. Support is primarily task-focused, and he responds best to individuals who are calm, approachable, professional, and reassuring.
The successful candidate will be patient, consistent, and able to provide person-centred support while respecting his independence and promoting a safe, structured environment.
