Mechanical Engineer / Mechanical Fitter – Bristol | £24 per Hour
D&J Engineering Services Ltd is seeking an experienced and reliable Mechanical Engineer / Mechanical Fitter to join our team for an ongoing project based in Bristol.
This is a hands-on site-based position suited to someone with strong mechanical fitting experience who is confident working with industrial equipment, machinery and mechanical systems.
Responsibilities
- Carry out mechanical installation, fitting, assembly and maintenance works.
- Install, align and adjust mechanical components and equipment.
- Perform planned and reactive mechanical maintenance where required.
- Diagnose mechanical faults and carry out repairs efficiently.
- Work from engineering drawings, specifications and site instructions.
- Use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
- Ensure all work is completed to the required quality and safety standards.
- Work closely with supervisors, engineers and other trades on site.
- Follow all site Health & Safety procedures and company policies.
- Maintain a professional standard of workmanship throughout the project.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Mechanical Fitter, Mechanical Engineer, Maintenance Fitter or similar industrial mechanical role.
- Strong practical mechanical knowledge and fault-finding ability.
- Experience working in an industrial, engineering or construction environment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Relevant mechanical qualifications/tickets are advantageous.
- Valid CSCS/CCNSG or relevant site safety certification preferred.
- Reliable, punctual and professional.
- Right to work in the UK.

Pay: £24.00 per hour
