Pastasimo is a growing family-run pasta and sandwich brand in Milton Keynes. We are looking for a reliable, hardworking and experienced chef to take ownership of our food preparation and lunch service operations.
This is a hands-on role for someone who genuinely enjoys cooking, takes pride in their work, and can help maintain high standards while supporting the growth of the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare sauces, meats, breads, desserts and other menu items to company standards
- Manage all daily food preparation and kitchen organisation
- Run lunch service efficiently during busy periods
- Monitor stock levels and maintain accurate inventory records
- Place supplier orders and ensure ingredients are available when needed
- Follow food safety, hygiene and HACCP procedures at all times
- Maintain a clean, organised and efficient kitchen
- Assist with receiving deliveries and stock rotation
- Support menu development and continuous improvement where appropriate
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of professional chef experience
- Fluent spoken and written English
- Strong understanding of food safety and kitchen hygiene
- Experience managing stock and placing supplier orders
- Able to work independently and take responsibility for kitchen operations
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
- Available to work weekends and bank holidays
- Reliable, organised and able to perform well under pressure
