The Ark Day Centre is looking for enthusiastic Support Workers to join our friendly and supportive team.

About the Role
As a Support Worker, you will provide person-centred care and support to adults with complex needs in a welcoming day centre environment.
Every day can be different. You could be supporting someone to develop a new skill, encouraging participation in an activity, assisting with personal care or helping someone access the community.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing person-centred support to adults with complex needs, learning disabilities, autism and physical disabilities.
- Supporting individuals to develop independence, confidence and life skills.
- Encouraging participation in meaningful activities, hobbies and social opportunities.
- Supporting people to access community activities, outings and local services.
- Providing personal care where required, always maintaining dignity, privacy and respect.
- Assisting with eating, drinking, mobility and other daily living needs in line with individual support plans.
- Building positive, trusting and professional relationships with the people you support.
- Promoting choice, inclusion, equality and independence in everything you do.
- Supporting individuals who may display behaviours of concern, using appropriate person-centred approaches.
- Working collaboratively with colleagues, families and other professionals to achieve positive outcomes.
- Completing accurate daily records and reporting any concerns or changes in wellbeing.
- Following safeguarding, health and safety and organisational procedures.

Experience & Qualifications
