Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Project Manager to lead and coordinate engineering projects from inception to completion. In this role, you will drive project planning, execution, and delivery while ensuring adherence to quality standards, regulatory requirements, timelines, and budget constraints. Your leadership will be vital in managing cross-functional teams and fostering seamless communication across all project phases.
Responsibilities
- Lead the planning and execution of complex aerospace engineering projects.
- Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with senior stakeholders
- Develop detailed project plans, schedules, resource allocation, and cost estimates.
- Monitor and control project performance using appropriate systems, tools, and techniques.
- Manage changes to the project scope, schedule, and costs using change control processes.
- Coordinate internal resources and third-party suppliers for the execution of projects.
- Ensure that all engineering deliverables meet industry standards.
- Conduct risk management to minimise project risks.
- Prepare and present project status reports to stakeholders and executive management.
- Ensure compliance with aerospace regulations and customer contractual obligations.
- Drive continuous improvement in project delivery and engineering processes.
- Support bids and proposals with project planning and estimation as required.
Essential Skills / Attributes
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Aerospace, Mechanical, or related field.
- Project Management certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, APM).
- Proven experience (3+ years) managing engineering projects in the aerospace or defence sector.
- Proficiency and experience with Earned Value Management (EVM), project scheduling software (MS Project, Primavera), and risk management tools.
- Solid technical background with the ability to understand engineering concepts and communicate effectively with engineers and customers.
- Experience working within engineering or aerospace/defence markets
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.
Pay: £40,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
