Responsibilities
- Assist with meal preparation by chopping, assembling, and portioning ingredients according to recipes and standards
- Support food safety protocols by maintaining cleanliness and proper storage of ingredients and prepared foods
- Help with kitchen organization, including cleaning workstations, utensils, and equipment regularly
- Prepare ingredients for cooking under supervision, ensuring quality and presentation standards are met
- Follow all health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment for everyone in the kitchen
- Contribute to maintaining an efficient workflow during busy periods by assisting with various kitchen tasks as needed
Skills
- Experience in catering or food production environments demonstrating familiarity with food preparation would be a advantage but not essential as full training provided
- Knowledge of meal assembly and food presentation techniques would be a advantage
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards collaboration in a fast-paced setting
- Good communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members and support staff
Working Monday to Friday, Paid weekly.
Two shifts available:
0500 - 1300
or
1300 - 2100
Immediate starts available, permanent contract offered after 12 weeks
