About the Role
As a Care Leader, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest standards of care are consistently delivered across our supported living services. You will spend the majority of your time working within our services, supporting both the people we care for and our care teams, while also completing essential administrative duties within the office.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out initial assessments, risk assessments and care needs assessments for new service users.
- Review and update care plans, risk assessments and support documentation regularly.
- Work in partnership with service users, families, advocates, healthcare professionals and commissioners to deliver high-quality, person-centred care.
- Support Care Coordinators in planning effective staff rotas that meet both service user needs and staff skills.
- Participate in multidisciplinary reviews where required.
- Shadow, mentor and support new care staff to ensure they are competent and confident in their role.
- Carry out spot checks, observations and competency assessments of care staff.
- Provide practical guidance, supervision and support to care workers in the community and within our supported living services.
- Respond appropriately to emergencies and provide on-site support when required.
- Promote safe working practices and ensure compliance with health and safety policies.
- Report hazards, incidents and accidents in accordance with company procedures.
- Monitor changes in service users’ health or wellbeing and ensure appropriate action is taken.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with CQC standards and company policies.
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience in a senior care or field-based care role.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Strong organisational and time management abilities.
- A passion for delivering outstanding, person-centred care.
- Good knowledge of safeguarding, medication, risk assessment and CQC regulations.
- A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is desirable.
