Position: Cycle Instructor
Location: Portsmouth, Southampton, and surrounding areas
Key Responsibilities:
- Delivering cycle training to children within schools during term time
- Upholding national standards in cycling education
- Working collaboratively with Portsmouth City Council and Southampton City Council contracts
- Develop and implement lesson plans to effectively deliver content and meet learning objectives.
- Provide guidance and support to students, monitoring their progress and providing feedback.
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes engagement and participation.
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements to ensure the delivery of relevant and current information.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and performance.
- Utilize effective teaching strategies and resources to enhance the learning experience.
Requirements:
- Physically fit and able to ride a bike to national standard (Level 3)
- Own a bike and helmet
- Ability to work in all weather conditions
- Successful completion of DBS screening
- Positive references confirming ability to work effectively with children
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles and abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students of different ages and backgrounds.

- Organizational skills to plan lessons, manage time effectively, and maintain records.
- Patience, empathy, and the ability to motivate and inspire students.
