Job Description – Electrician
For over 220 years, DMA Group has been supporting customers with the complexities of managing and maintaining buildings through our Hard and Soft FM, Integrated Managed Services, Construction Project Management and Energy & Sustainability solutions. Our customers include super-prime residences and developments, hotels & hospitality, schools & universities, public sector, commercial offices, industrial, health & social care, and retail.
The Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen with DMA Group for an Electrician to join our Electrical team, working throughout London and Kent. We are looking for someone situated South west London or North Kent.
Responsibilities
The engineer will be responsible for service, routine maintenance, surveys and fault finding repair and installation across a wide range of Electrical systems in a variety of commercial, industrial and domestic settings.
As an Electrician, duties will include but may not be limited to:
- Attendance on site when expected by the customer.
- Carrying out maintenance inspections, repairs, and servicing of electrical systems, in accordance with the correct codes and standard BS7671.
- Testing and inspection of various systems and completing test certificates. Carrying out remedial works needed.
- Ensure the customer is updated with the status of outstanding and completed works.
- Efficiently complete and log job sheets using our in-house system.
- Maintain a high standard of personal presentation with a confident, professional, and welcoming personality.
- Ad hoc tasks as required.
Qualifications and Experience
- 18th Edition (required) City & Guilds (2382-18) IET Wiring Regulations BS7671:2018 (or equivalent)
- City & Guilds 2391 or 2394/5 Inspection and Testing (required)
- NVQ Level 2 Electrical or time served electrician.
- 5 years’ experience as an electrical engineer in a commercial FM setting.
- Full UK driving license.

Schedule
Our normal site hours are Monday – Friday 8:00am - 5pm however we understand there is need for flexibility due to our clients, on site needs.
Remuneration and Benefits
We are happy to offer an attractive base salary plus overtime pay. The Engineer will receive a van plus fuel card for travel, access to our trusted suppliers/trade accounts, mobile phone, tablet/PDA, uniform and any trade specific tools. Engineers are expected to provide their own 'hand tools'.
The Engineer will also benefit from 25 days annual leave (plus public holidays), company pension, death in service benefit and 'Smart Health' service.
