- You must have previous relevant work experience in customer service, administration, sales, retail, hospitality or another customer-facing or office-based role. This is not a first-job position.
- You must have strong spoken and written English. You will regularly speak with customers on the telephone and communicate by email and live chat, so you must be able to understand enquiries clearly and communicate confidently and professionally.
- You must have reliable transport to our Watlington location. There is no suitable public transport available for the working hours of this role, so you will need to be able to make your own reliable travel arrangements each day.
- This is a fully office-based role and is not suitable for remote or hybrid working.
The Role
We’re looking for a confident, proactive and enthusiastic Customer Service Executive to join our friendly, fast-paced team.
This is a varied role where you’ll be responsible for helping customers, solving problems, managing enquiries and keeping orders moving smoothly. No two days are exactly the same, so you’ll need to be comfortable switching between different tasks and priorities throughout the day.
You’ll suit this role if you are a strong communicator who enjoys taking ownership, building rapport with customers, solving problems and staying organised when things get busy.
Key Responsibilities
- Acting as the first point of contact for customers via phone, email and live chat
- Handling enquiries relating to sales, products, orders, deliveries, returns and refunds with professionalism and care
- Processing orders, returns and refunds accurately and efficiently
- Keeping customers informed with clear and timely updates
- Taking ownership of customer queries and working towards a satisfactory resolution
- Helping customers understand our products and services and providing accurate information
- Managing multiple enquiries and administrative tasks while maintaining attention to detail
- Working closely with colleagues across the wider business to resolve customer issues
- Supporting day-to-day administrative tasks and assisting the team when required
- Developing strong product knowledge so you can confidently represent the Garden Trends range
- Identifying opportunities to provide additional help or recommend suitable products where appropriate
- Handling customer concerns and complaints calmly and professionally
What We’re Looking ForEssential
- Previous experience in a customer service, administration, sales, retail, hospitality or other relevant customer-facing role
- Strong spoken and written English
- Confident and professional telephone manner
- Comfortable using computers and working across multiple systems
- Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to your work
- Good organisation and time-management skills
- Able to manage several tasks and priorities in a busy environment
- Reliable transport to our Watlington premises
- Able to work full-time from the office, Monday to Friday
