Our client is seeking a meticulous Quality Inspector to join their team based in East Sussex. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in electronics manufacturing who takes pride in ensuring products meet the highest quality standards before reaching customers.
You will act as the final line of defence against defects, inspecting PCBAs, cable assemblies, and full box builds, maintaining rigorous quality standards, and driving continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:
- Perform detailed visual inspections of PCBAs, cable assemblies, and full box builds to IPC standards
- Conduct first-off and final inspections, verifying against BOMs, technical drawings, and customer specifications
- Identify, document, and escalate non-conformances, overseeing rework where necessary
- Monitor production processes for compliance with ESD and quality protocols
- Maintain accurate inspection logs and produce quality reports
- Support improvements in first-time pass rates and defect reduction
- Ensure traceability and correct stamping of all inspected work packs
Skills, Experience, and Requirements:
- Experience in electronics manufacturing inspecting PCBAs (SMT and conventional), cable harnesses, and mechanical box builds
- Knowledge of IPC standards (IPC-A-610, IPC-WHMA-620)
- Ability to read and interpret circuit diagrams, assembly drawings, and BOMs
- Experience using inspection equipment (AOI, measurement tools, etc.)
- Competent with MRP systems and IT for logging quality data and generating reports
- Clear and assertive communication with production staff and management
- Previous experience in a high-mix, low-volume electronics production environment
