The Diagnostic Assistant role involves a variety of tasks focused on direct patient care. Responsibilities include attaching and removing Ambulatory ECG/B equipment, downloading data, and preparing monitors for upcoming clinics.
The role may also require running 12 Lead ECG clinics independently, discussing relevant issues with patients, and liaising with the Cardiac Physiologist to address concerns. Keeping accurate patient records, managing stock levels, and offering advice and support to patients and are key aspects of the job.
After training, duties can extend to clerical tasks like updating clinical systems, maintaining manual patient registers during system outages, and notifying other departments of arrivals. Additional tasks include ordering and storing supplies, traveling to other clinic locations when necessary, and ensuring all mandatory is current.
