Bread Baker !
At L'Angelou Patisserie, we are a French bakery based in Edinburgh, bringing authentic French baking to Scotland every day. We specialise in traditional French baguettes, naturally fermented sourdough loaves and handcrafted pastries, all made from scratch using quality ingredients and classic techniques.
We're looking for a passionate Bread Baker to join our growing bakery team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with dough by hand, takes pride in producing exceptional bread, and wants to continue developing their craft.
The Role
As part of our bakery team, you'll be responsible for producing our daily range of artisan breads, ensuring every product meets the high standards our customers expect.
Your Responsibilities
- Mix, develop and ferment bread dough from scratch.
- Shape and bake traditional French baguettes and naturally fermented sourdough loaves.
- Monitor fermentation and dough development throughout production.
- Operate bakery equipment safely and efficiently.
- Maintain excellent product quality and consistency every day.
- Follow food safety, hygiene and allergen procedures.
- Keep the bakery clean, organised and ready for production.
- Work closely with the rest of the team to ensure daily production runs smoothly.
What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who enjoys baking and wants to be part of a small, dedicated team.
Ideally, you'll have:
- At least 1 year's experience in a bakery.
- Experience making bread dough from scratch.
- An interest in bread, artisan baking and traditional techniques.
- Good organisational skills and the ability to work efficiently in a busy production environment.
- A positive attitude, reliability and willingness to learn.
- A good understanding of food hygiene and food safety.
Experience with French baguettes or sourdough is an advantage, but we're happy to provide training to someone with solid bakery experience and the right attitude.
Pay: £28,000.00-£32,000.00 per year
