We are looking for an experienced, reliable and thorough Evening Cleaner to join our nursery team.
You will play an important role in maintaining a clean, hygienic and welcoming environment for our children, families and staff. This is a part-time evening position and would suit someone who takes pride in their work, has excellent attention to detail and is confident working independently.
Hours
- 3–5 evenings per week
- 6:00pm–8:00pm
- 6–10 hours per week
- Some flexibility may be available on working days
Pay
£13.50 per hour
Duties
Your responsibilities will include:
- Vacuuming, sweeping and mopping floors
- Cleaning and disinfecting nursery rooms and communal areas
- Cleaning and sanitising toilets and bathroom facilities
- Wiping and disinfecting tables, surfaces and frequently touched areas
- Emptying bins and disposing of waste appropriately
- Cleaning staff areas and kitchen areas as required
- Replenishing cleaning and hygiene supplies where required
- Using cleaning products and equipment safely and correctly
- Identifying and reporting any maintenance or hygiene concerns
- Maintaining consistently high standards of cleanliness throughout the nursery
Requirements
- Previous professional cleaning experience is essential
- Strong attention to detail
- Reliable and punctual
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Good knowledge of cleaning products and safe cleaning practices
- Physically able to carry out regular cleaning duties including bending, lifting and reaching
- Trustworthy and responsible
- A positive and professional attitude
Due to the nature of the role and working within a children's nursery, the successful candidate will be required to undergo an Enhanced DBS check.
