Chapel Farm Eggs Ltd is an independent, family run egg wholesale business established in the 1980’s. We distribute our eggs to a large variety of foodservice companies, catering companies, Wholesalers and other smaller retailers. We require a warehouse assistant / van delivery driver to help us in all manner of warehouse activities.
The Role:
- Based in Normandy, Guildford you will be required to work Monday – Friday and will be employed on a full time permanent basis. The contracted hours are 45 hours per week where the regular working hours will be 7.30AM – 4.30PM. You will however be on our van delivery round at least twice a week where earlier start times are required. The supply business is ever changing and at times your regular working hours can change.
You will be an integral part of our close team where your main tasks will be:
- Supporting all areas of the warehouse responsible for multiple customers’ orders
- Picking and packing our eggs into boxes and palletising for distribution
- Goods in duties - unloading various vehicles, checking off against delivery notes and ensuring product suitability
- Goods out duties - order picking, order packing, ensuring a keen eye for detail and then loading various vehicles including HGV.
- General housekeeping duties as required
- Driving and delivering for the company at least twice a week and also where required during holiday periods and busier periods of supply
- Adhering to all best practices for general warehouse safety standards at all times.
Key Skill Requirements:
- Ideally hold a Forklift licence
- Hold a full UK driving licence (Essential)
- Experience in manual handling
- Good level of written and verbal communication
- Team player, with a polite and courteous attitude
- Flexible, with a ‘can do’ attitude
