Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Baby Room Leader to join our vibrant early childhood education team 4 days a week 8am to 6pm . You must have childcare qualification minimum level 3 . Our baby room has only just been set up and we have welcomed babies in February 2026. Our cosy room will have maximum of 6 babies a day. In this vital role, you will lead and nurture infants and toddlers, creating a safe, engaging, and loving environment that promotes their growth and development as well as lead a small team. Your enthusiasm for early childhood education will inspire young learners and support their individual needs through attentive caregiving, educational activities, and positive behavior management. As a Baby Room Leader, you will play a key role in fostering a warm community where children feel secure and excited to explore the world around them. We follow Curiosity approach so expereince would be welcomed
Responsibilities
- Lead daily routines in the baby room, including feeding, diapering, nap times, and sensory activities, ensuring consistency and comfort for each child
- Design and implement age-appropriate learning experiences that support early childhood development milestones
- Maintain a safe and hygienic environment by adhering to health and safety regulations at all times
- Observe and document each child's progress, sharing insights with parents and team members to support individualized care plans
- Manage classroom behavior with positive reinforcement techniques, promoting social skills and emotional well-being
- Collaborate with colleagues to plan activities that stimulate curiosity, creativity, and physical development
- Ensure compliance with all childcare licensing standards, including first aid procedures and safety protocols
- Foster strong relationships with families through open communication, updates on their child's progress, and welcoming engagement
Experience
- Proven experience working with infants and toddlers in a daycare or preschool setting
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and best practices in early childhood education
- Experience with classroom management techniques tailored for young children
- Familiarity with special education needs or working with children with disabilities is a plus
- Certification in first aid and CPR is highly desirable
- Prior experience in caregiving roles such as nannying or babysitting demonstrates a strong foundation in child supervision
- Demonstrated ability to manage behavior effectively while maintaining a nurturing environment
