Overview
We are seeking a Manufactured Joinery Pricing Estimator to join our busy team. The position is currently a part time position however has capacity to grow to a full time position quickly. The Salary range is pro-rata for the hours worked and dependant on experience. Experience in pricing manufactured joinery products is an enormous benefit or alternatively a vast experience in working in a manufactured joinery workshop.
The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing project costs, preparing accurate estimates, and supporting the organisation in delivering competitive bids. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a keen eye for detail and a strong understanding of manufactured joinery pricing to contribute to our ongoing success. The ideal applicant will possess excellent organisational skills, a proactive approach, and the ability to work effectively within a team environment.
Responsibilities
- Analyse project specifications, drawings, and other documentation to prepare comprehensive cost estimates.
- Collaborate with project managers, suppliers, and subcontractors to gather accurate pricing information.
- Identify potential cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or safety standards.
- Prepare bid proposals and present estimates clearly and professionally to clients.
- Maintain organised records of all estimate documentation for future reference and audit purposes.
- Keep abreast of market trends, material prices, labour rates, and industry developments relevant to cost estimation.
Skills
- Proven experience in cost estimation within manufactured joinery sector.
- Strong understanding of cost control methodologies and financial analysis.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficient in estimating software programmes and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Exceptional attention to detail with a high level of accuracy in work outputs.
- Effective communication skills, capable of liaising confidently with clients, suppliers, and team members.
- Analytical mindset with problem-solving capabilities and strategic thinking skills.
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Pay: £27,373.75-£61,820.21 per year
