About Us
Join Our Team as a Registered Manager for a New Children’s Home
Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people? 16Plus Care Support Solutions Ltd is expanding our services and seeking a dynamic Registered Manager to lead our new Children’s Home project. This is a unique opportunity to bring your initiative and vision to a well-established company, operating since 2017 – and to help shape the future of our new provision from day one.
Our homes operate to a therapeutic, innovative and aspirational model, delivering high-quality services that support and advocate for the needs of the children and young people in our care. As Registered Manager, you’ll be at the heart of that – shaping and delivering each home’s Statement of Purpose and providing strong, motivational leadership to your team, leading by example.
The Role
You will lead and manage a 5-bed home in Bristol efficiently and in accordance with relevant legislation, procedures, policies and its Statement of Purpose. Key accountabilities include:
- Producing a development plan that ensures the delivery of high-quality, therapeutically informed practice
- Coordinating and monitoring casework and administrative functions, and evaluating standards of performance
- Supervising the continual assessment of children’s needs and preparing specific development plans to ensure the most appropriate service provision
- Leading on staff recruitment – vetting, interviewing and inducting – and managing appraisal, supervision and support of the whole team
- Leading a comprehensive staff training and development programme so the service has all the skills and expertise needed to meet children’s needs
- Building appropriate, therapeutic relationships between staff, children, families and other stakeholders, and promoting children’s involvement in the day-to-day life of the home
- Liaising with multi-disciplinary teams, commissioning authorities and regulators – ensuring all documentation required by regulators is completed to a high standard and available for inspection
- Organising duty rotas so children’s needs are met at all times, and taking part in the on-call system
- Ensuring professional ethics and safe clinical and medication practices, managing budgets and financial procedures, and maintaining the home to a high physical standard
- Safeguarding and promoting individual rights – providing good-quality care free from oppression, where differences are respected and valued
- Chairing meetings and reviews, and undertaking wider management activities as defined by the Responsible Individual or Managing Director
What We Offer
- £48,000–£55,000 per year
- The backing of a well-established provider, delivering care since 2017, with a therapeutic, innovative and aspirational model
- Support from the Deputy, Responsible Individual and Managing Director, with involvement in wider management activities
- Company pension and additional leave
- Company events, employee discount and on-site parking
