Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Bank Domestic Assistant to join our team. This role involves maintaining a clean, safe, and hygienic environment within the bank premises, ensuring high standards of cleanliness and hygiene are upheld at all times. The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial services, with some familiarity with hospital environments being advantageous. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to the well-being and safety of staff and visitors while working in a professional setting.
Duties
- Perform routine cleaning tasks across various areas of the home, including offices, residents rooms, and staff facilities
- Ensure all surfaces, floors, and fixtures are cleaned and sanitised according to health and safety standards
- Restock cleaning supplies and hygiene products as needed to maintain operational efficiency
- Dispose of waste responsibly and ensure recycling procedures are followed
- Maintain cleanliness of washrooms, including replenishing toiletries and ensuring facilities are hygienic at all times
- Report any maintenance issues or hazards promptly to management
- Follow health and safety protocols diligently to prevent accidents or contamination
- Assist with specialised cleaning tasks in sensitive areas such as vaults or secure document storage when required
Requirements
- Previous experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial services is essential
- Experience working in residential care homes is desirable
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to cleaning procedures
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision whilst maintaining high standards of cleanliness
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible hours as required
- Physical fitness to perform cleaning duties, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
- A positive attitude and commitment to maintaining a safe environment for everyone
Pay: £12.71 per hour
