Retail Sales Adviser / Retail Assistant – Customer Service (Mobility & Healthcare Retail)
Location: Newark
Hours: 9:00 am – 5:00 pm, 5 days over 6 (rota basis, including weekends)
Salary: £25,100 per annum

Ableworld is the UK’s largest mobility and stairlift retailer, specialising in independent living products, mobility aids, and assistive technology. We support older adults and people living with disabilities by helping them maintain independence, comfort, and quality of life.
We are seeking a Retail Sales Adviser to join our team, primarily based at our Newark store. This role focuses on customer service and involves face-to-face sales, providing product advice, and offering hands-on support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Delivering excellent customer service and consultative sales in-store and over the phone
- Advising customers on mobility products, healthcare retail items, and disability support solutions
- Supporting customers with product selection to improve daily living and independence
- Assisting with stock handling, merchandising, and in-store displays
- Supporting sales targets, upselling opportunities, and store initiatives
- Assisting with the delivery of products to customers’ homes when required
- Providing cover and support across other local stores as needed
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience in retail, sales assistant, or customer service roles (preferred but not essential)
- A caring, approachable manner and confidence speaking with people from all walks of life
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to lift and handle stock in a retail environment
- Full UK driving licence and daily access to a vehicle (essential due to multi-site support)
