The Role
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Laser Profiling Operator to join our production team. You will be responsible for operating two 6kW Trumpf fibre laser cutting machines, ensuring efficient production, high-quality output, and safe working practices.
This is a hands-on role within a busy fabrication environment, working as part of a skilled and supportive team.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor two Trumpf 6kW fibre laser cutting machines
- Load and unload materials safely and efficiently, ensuring correct material selection
- Carry out basic machine setup and adjustments (full training provided)
- Perform routine cleaning and preventative maintenance
- Inspect finished components to ensure they meet quality standards
- Identify and report faults or production issues promptly
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment
- Work closely with the Profiling Team Leader to maintain smooth workflow
About You
- Previous experience in laser cutting, CNC machining, or fabrication (preferred but not essential)
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Computer literate and comfortable working with production systems
- Reliable, proactive, and willing to learn new skills
- Counterbalance Forklift License (desirable but not essential)
