This is a fantastic role for an experienced Band 6-equivalent Physiotherapist looking to further develop in a dynamic, multidisciplinary environment, working across outpatients, aquatic therapy, and orthopaedic inpatient services.
You’ll play a key role in delivering high-quality, patient-centred care, managing a varied and complex caseload, and contributing to the ongoing development of our physiotherapy services.
As a Senior Physiotherapist, you will:
- Deliver expert assessment, diagnosis and treatment for patients with a wide range of musculoskeletal and orthopaedic conditions
- Manage a busy outpatient caseload, alongside supporting inpatient orthopaedic rehabilitation and aquatic therapy services
- Develop and implement individualised, evidence-based treatment plans tailored to patient needs
- Use advanced clinical reasoning and hands-on therapy skills to optimise patient outcomes
- Monitor and evaluate patient progress, adapting treatment plans as required
- Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, liaising with consultants and colleagues to ensure joined-up care
- Maintain accurate and high-quality clinical documentation in line with professional standards
- Support the development of junior staff and students through teaching and supervision
- Contribute to service development, audit and quality improvement initiatives
- Participate in the orthopaedic inpatient rota and aquatic therapy service, with some weekend working as required
- BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy
- HCPC registration
- Proven experience working at Band 6 level within MSK outpatient physiotherapy
- Strong experience managing a diverse MSK caseload
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a patient-centred approach
- Ability to demonstrate advanced clinical reasoning and manual therapy skills
- Evidence of continued professional development (CPD)
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Experience within aquatic (hydrotherapy) services
- Experience in an orthopaedic inpatient setting
- Postgraduate training in aquatic therapy
- Previous NHS or private healthcare experience
