Shift Pattern: 4 days on / 4 days off, including day and night shifts
Pay Rate: £12.71 per hour + 33% shift allowance
We are currently recruiting for a Bagging & Dispatch Operative to join a busy manufacturing operation in Artigarvan.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced and reliable individual to join a fast-paced production and dispatch environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient packing, storage, loading and dispatch of finished products while ensuring all company, quality, hygiene and health & safety standards are maintained.
Key Responsibilities
- Operating bagging lines and palletising machinery.
- Packing and preparing finished products for dispatch.
- Loading products onto containers and vehicles.
- Safely storing finished products within onsite storage areas.
- Operating forklifts and pallet trucks as required.
- Inspecting incoming supplies required for production.
- Completing production, quality and health & safety documentation.
- Maintaining high standards of hygiene, cleanliness, health and safety.
- Providing support and cover to other departments when required.
- Working effectively under the direction of the Area Manager and Supervisor.
- Carrying out any other duties required to support the efficient operation of the site.
Essential Criteria
Applicants should have:
- The ability to work independently, use their own initiative and manage their workload effectively.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to maintain accuracy.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience of recording and analysing information/data.
- Good IT skills, particularly Microsoft Excel and Word.
- A good standard and understanding of English and Mathematics.
- The ability to bend, stretch, lift and carry items of a particular weight.
Desirable Criteria
- Previous experience within a similar food manufacturing or production environment.
- GCSE or equivalent qualifications in English and Mathematics.
- Food Safety/Hygiene qualification.
- Experience operating forklifts or pallet trucks.
Working Pattern & Pay
£11.87 per hour + 33% shift allowance
40.25 hours per week, working a 4-on, 4-off shift pattern covering both days and nights.
