The Royal Philatelic Collection is generally regarded as the world’s leading private collection of stamps and related material. As the Senior Curator, you will manage all curatorial functions relating to the Collection. You’ll maintain, preserve and develop this priceless Collection to ensure that it is fully documented, interpreted and preserved at highest standards.
Key Responsibilities:

Manage and catalogue the collection to recognised professional standards and maintain accurate records and systematic inventory checks using the Collections Management System.

Applying specialist expertise and identify strategic priorities for the conservation, long-term preservation and digitisation of the collection whilst overseeing its storage, security and accessibility.

Undertake research and provide authoritative interpretation to answer specialist enquiries and to inform displays.

Liaising with internal and external colleagues whilst overseeing displays and loans.

Lead and develop a small team of professionals to support cataloguing, conservation, digitisation, displays and enquiries.

Build and maintain professional relationships with philatelic experts and organisations in the UK and internationally.
