Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced, organised and hands-on Warehouse Manager to lead day-to-day warehouse operations.
The successful candidate will work alongside the team and be responsible for the efficient receipt, storage and dispatch of goods, while maintaining high standards of safety, accuracy, productivity and customer service.
You will lead and develop the warehouse team, manage inventory, optimise processes and ensure operational targets and company procedures are consistently achieved.
Key Responsibilities
· Manage daily warehouse operations, including goods-in, storage and dispatch.
· Lead, motivate and support warehouse staff, including recruitment, training, performance management and scheduling.
· Maintain accurate inventory records and oversee regular stock counts and cycle counts.
· Investigate and resolve stock discrepancies, damages and operational issues.
· Implement efficient warehouse processes and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
· Keep the warehouse clean, organised, secure and maintained to a high standard.
· Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation, company policies and warehouse procedures.
· Manage the safe operation and maintenance of warehouse equipment, including forklifts, tail lift and material-handling equipment.
· Coordinate with purchasing, sales, transport and customer service teams to maintain smooth product flow.
· Ensure all company and legal requirements relating to the storage, handling and transportation of goods are followed.
Essential Skills & Experience
· Previous experience in a warehouse management or supervisory role.
· Strong leadership and people-management skills.
· Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
· Good understanding of health and safety requirements.
· Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
· Excellent communication skills.
· Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
· Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
· Clean driving licence.
Desirable:
· Forklift or other relevant warehouse equipment certification.
