Working hours: 35 hours per week (4 nights on, 4 nights off)

The Salvation Army provides support and accommodation for homeless adults within the South Lanarkshire area. We are looking to recruit a Night Assistant Support Worker to join our team in Halfway, Eva Burrows 1 Stop Lifehouse.
This is an exciting opportunity to work in an innovative, sector-leading and uniquely collaborative way of working with our partners. To succeed you will need to have the ability to work independently and be comfortable as a lone worker, when required, with a good knowledge of the relevant protocols and safety precautions. You’ll be able to maintain passion for working with individuals who have had to flee their own home.
Key Responsibilities:

You will be responsible for assisting and delivering a high quality programme of support and meaningful activities.

You will need good communication skills and an enthusiasm for working with vulnerable, homeless adults.
The successful candidate(s) will be able to demonstrate:

Motivation towards supporting vulnerable clients to achieve focussed and positive life outcomes.

Knowledge of Crisis Intervention.

Qualification or equivalent in a related field or be willing to work towards

Experience of working with vulnerable clients in this field

Knowledge and understanding of supported housing funding streams and reporting requirements
Please note that you may be required to pay either for either a new PVG membership application, if you are already a member of the scheme. All new employees have to register with SSSC within 6 months of appointment and are responsible for the fee.
