Stoba Precision Engineering UK Limited (Stoba Prazisionstechnik UK Ltd) is a specialized manufacturing plant located in Small Dole, West Sussex. Established in the UK in July 2009, it operates as a key competence center for heavy-duty injector bodies and metal components within the global Stoba Group.
Kick-start your engineering career with an exciting Engineering and Manufacturing Support Technician apprenticeship at Stoba Precision Technology UK which combines hands-on manufacturing with real-world project engineering. You'll gain practical experience working with cutting-edge technology, develop valuable technical skills, and play a key role in solving engineering challenges while earning as you learn.
This is a college day release apprenticeship, where you'll work towards the Diploma in Engineering and Manufacturing Support Technologies Level 3 qualification. You'll spend the majority of your time gaining practical experience in the workplace, alongside dedicated time at college to develop the technical knowledge and skills needed to achieve your qualification.
Throughout the apprenticeship, you will:
- Programme, set up and operate Computer Numerical Control (CNC) machine tools.Use conventional manual machine tools to manufacture components.
- Design and manufacture jigs and fixtures to improve production processes.
- Carry out metrology, using precision measuring equipment to inspect high-accuracy components, tooling and equipment.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot machinery, tooling and manufacturing processes, identifying root causes of issues and implementing effective solutions to improve efficiency, quality and reliability.
- Support engineering projects by providing technical solutions that meet company requirements.
- Help deliver projects on time, within budget and fit for purpose.
- Work closely with the Production and Quality departments to ensure the successful delivery of projects.
- Assist with prototype manufacture, purchasing materials and tooling, producing research and design drawings, as well as tooling design, manufacture and development.
By the end of your apprenticeship, you'll have developed a strong foundation in advanced manufacturing, precision engineering, engineering problem-solving and project engineering, while achieving a nationally recognised apprenticeship and the opportunity to grow your career within the company’s engineering department.

Weekly working hours
40hrs a week.
8 hrs a day.
8am – 4pm with a 25 minute paid break each day.
